My Recommended Stroller

For some, picking out a stroller might be small potatoes. It’s just a stroller, it doesn’t really matter, as long as it works. For others, picking out a stroller might be a big deal. For me, it was a big deal, I researched and looked through pictures and reviews for weeks. Then, once I thought I found the best one for us, I went back and reread the reviews and looked at the pictures again and ended up changing my mind. Hah. I actually did this a couple times before finally deciding on the stroller we have now.

Now, there are hundreds of different strollers out there you can choose from. You can do your research and spend all the time you want finding the stroller you think will work best for you and your life style. I am just going to tell you my top pick and why. You can do with the information as you want.

For a first baby, you are going to want a pumpkin seat because for the first 6 months you will take them everywhere in it. Now, It was important for me to have a stroller that the pumpkin seat would securely fit in to make it even easier. I also did not want little bitty wheels that could get stuck or not do well on other surfaces besides concrete. I wanted nice big tires and wheels because we go to fairs and festivals that are not always on paved ground. Another important factor was being able to store it without taking up too much space. I wanted a stroller that could be easily transported and stored. I am a type of person who always has a bottle of water with me or a cup of some sort. During my research I noticed on several strollers, when you fold the sunshade back or closed, it would block or hinder the cupholders. This was definitely not something that would work for me. The last thing that was important to me was not breaking the bank on a stroller. I wanted all these things in a stroller for a reasonable price.

With all that said, the stroller I recommend is the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger Travel System stroller. It comes with the infant car seat/pumpkin seat that fits nice and secure in the stroller and has the base, of course, that you keep in your vehicle. It makes it very easy to go from your vehicle to the stroller and back again once you’re ready to go home.

We have used this stroller for all occasions. We took it to a rodeo and it did great in the dirt, grass, and even the gravel. It folds up very well and fits in the trunk of our car which was a huge thing for us. The material makes it very easy to clean because if you don’t know yet, babies are very very messy. This stroller even has a nice storage compartment under the seat for things like a small cooler or items you purchase while you’re out or you can put your diaper bag down there too. Our diaper bag has clips that we attach to the handle to allow us to use the storage for other things. There is also a small storage compartment between the cupholders by the handle for your keys or phone or smaller items. We have also taken this stroller on a cruise with us. It did great for being stored on the plane as well as fit nicely in the not so spacious state room on the cruise ship (if you have ever been, you know what I’m talking about). It has worked very well for everything we have needed and has held up very well. We are so happy with this stroller we are going to buy the double seater version for when our second baby gets here!

There are a few slightly different variations to the Baby Trend Expedition Travel System strollers. I have included them below for you to look at.
